Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human CXCL17/VCC-1 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
CXCL17 is a chemokine that acts as a chemoattractant for monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. It primarily functions in mucosal tissues, attracting immune cells to the lungs. CXCL17 is involved in angiogenesis, tumor development, and exhibits anti-inflammatory activity in the stomach. It may play a role in innate defense against infections and activates the C-X-C chemokine receptor GPR35, inducing a transient increase in intracellular calcium levels. The 4-Cys form of CXCL17 shows greater chemoattractant potency than the 6-Cys form. Dysregulation of CXCL17 has been associated with diseases such as cholera.
