This antibody detects endogenous levels of total PMEPA1.
Target Information
PMEPA1 encodes a transmembrane protein containing a Smad interacting motif (SIM). Its expression is induced by androgens and transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β). The protein suppresses androgen receptor and TGF-β signaling pathways through interactions with Smad proteins. Overexpression may be associated with various cancers. Multiple isoforms have been observed due to alternative splicing.
