Target Information
Leptin (OB-R) receptor는 cytokine receptor superfamily에 속하며, 체중 항상성과 에너지 균형 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 지방 조직에서 분비되는 호르몬 leptin에 의해 활성화되며, JAK/STAT 경로를 통해 신호전달이 이루어집니다.
OB-R은 여러 isoform으로 존재하며, 시상하부 및 맥락총에서 발현되는 긴 형태는 포만감 및 에너지 소비 조절에 관여합니다.
OB-R (db) 또는 leptin (ob) 유전자 변이는 조기 발병 비만, 고인슐린혈증, 인슐린 저항성, 고혈당, 중추신경계 이상활동, 대사율 저하 등의 대사 이상을 유발할 수 있습니다.
