Target Information
This gene encodes a B9 domain-containing protein involved in ciliogenesis. Alterations in expression have been linked to Meckel syndrome, which is associated with multiple genes. The gene is located within the Smith-Magenis syndrome region on chromosome 17. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different proteins have been described.
