This antibody detects endogenous levels of total AGBL1 protein.
Target Information
Metallocarboxypeptidase that mediates deglutamylation of target proteins. It catalyzes the removal of polyglutamate side chains generated by post-translational polyglutamylation in proteins such as tubulins. Also removes gene-encoded polyglutamates from the carboxy-terminus of proteins such as MYLK. Acts as a long-chain deglutamylase, shortening long polyglutamate chains but not removing the branching point glutamate, which is processed by AGBL5/CCP5.
