Target Information
The G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily includes approximately 600–1,000 members and represents the largest known class of molecular targets with therapeutic relevance.
GPR6 is an orphan, constitutively active G-protein-coupled receptor involved in processes such as neurite growth, amyloid processing, and appetitive learning.
It is predominantly expressed in neurons of the striatum and is localized both on the cell surface and within intracellular compartments.
