Target Information

FBXO11 is a member of the F-box protein family characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid motif, the F-box.
These proteins form one of the four subunits of the ubiquitin protein ligase complex SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box), which function in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination.
F-box proteins are divided into three classes:

1. Fbws: containing WD-40 domains
2. Fbls: containing leucine-rich repeats
3. Fbxs: containing either different protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs

The FBXO11 gene encodes a protein belonging to the Fbxs class, and alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
