Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the kinesin-like protein family. These proteins are microtubule-dependent molecular motors that transport organelles within cells and move chromosomes during cell division. This protein plays a crucial role in anaphase chromosome segregation and may be required for coordinating the onset of sister centromere separation.
