Target Information
PACRG는 메타조아에서 보존된 단백질로, 척추동물에서는 파킨(parkin) 유전자와 머리-머리(head-to-head) 형태로 연결되어 있습니다. 이 두 유전자는 다양한 조직에서 공동 조절되며, 양방향 프로모터를 공유합니다. 두 유전자는 나병(leprosy) 감수성과 관련이 있습니다. PACRG 단백질은 Hsp70, Hsp90 등 샤페론 및 샤페로닌 복합체와 결합하며, 파킨슨병 환자의 루이소체(Lewy bodies) 구성 성분 중 하나입니다. 또한, 접힘이 잘못된 Pael 수용체로 인한 신경세포 사멸을 억제하는 역할을 합니다.
