Target Information
SIRT3는 효모 Sir2 단백질과 상동성을 가진 sirtuin 단백질 계열에 속하며, sirtuin core domain을 특징으로 합니다. 인간 sirtuin의 기능은 아직 명확히 규명되지 않았지만, 효모 sirtuin은 유전자 발현의 후성유전적 침묵 조절 및 rDNA 재조합 억제에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 연구 결과에 따르면 인간 sirtuin은 mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase 활성을 가진 세포 내 조절 단백질로 작용할 수 있으며, SIRT3는 sirtuin family의 class I에 속합니다.
