Target Information
Avian MHC Class I molecules (B-F antigens) consist of a polymorphic alpha-chain noncovalently bound to the invariant beta2-microglobulin subunit. These molecules are expressed on most nucleated cells and present endogenously synthesized antigenic peptides to CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes.
The monoclonal antibody F21-2 also reacts with turkey MHC Class I.
HLA and MHC antibodies are crucial in Immunopeptidomics, aiding in the identification and characterization of neoantigens through high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem Mass Spectrometry.
