Red Fluorescent Protein (RFP)는 해파리 Discosoma sp. (Uniprot ID: Q9U6Y8)에서 유래한 적색 형광 단백질로, 단백질 위치, 리포터 유전자 발현, 단백질 간 상호작용 연구에 널리 사용됩니다. 본래 사량체(homotetramer)이지만, 다양한 응용을 위해 단량체(monomeric) 변형체가 개발되었습니다.
