They are useful in detection, sorting, or purification of the specified target. Secondary antibodies enhance assay versatility and sensitivity by allowing multiple detection systems (e.g., HRP, AP, fluorescence) and signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody.
