Reconstitution: 50 µL double distilled water (DDW), depending on the sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

N-cadherin is a 140 kDa transmembrane protein mediating calcium-dependent intercellular adhesion.
It belongs to the cadherin family, which regulates morphogenetic movements and cell surface adhesion via homotypic interactions.
Its function depends on association with the actin-cytoskeleton, mediated through interactions between the C-terminal region and cytoplasmic catenin proteins.
Stability of this complex is regulated by phosphorylation of beta-catenin.
N-cadherin consists of five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane domain, and a conserved cytoplasmic tail.
It plays a crucial role during gastrulation and in establishing left-right asymmetry.
