Recombinant Human TWEAK is a soluble 17.0 kDa polypeptide (154 amino acid residues) comprising the TNF-homologous region of TWEAK, generated by proteolytic processing of the full-length membrane-anchored TWEAK protein.

Target Information
TNF-related weak inducer of apoptosis (TWEAK) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor superfamily (TNFSF). Like other TNFSF members, TWEAK is a type II transmembrane protein, with a soluble, biologically active form produced by cleavage near the cell membrane.
TWEAK exhibits multiple biological activities including:
- Stimulation of cell growth and angiogenesis
- Induction of inflammatory cytokines
- Stimulation of apoptosis
TWEAK signals via TweakR/Fn14, similar to other TNFSF members that bind receptors lacking death domains.
