Target Information
Formin-like protein 1 (FRL1) is a formin-related protein involved in morphogenesis, cytokinesis, and cell polarity. Formins are conserved proteins expressed in all eukaryotes, containing DAD (diaphanous autoregulatory domain), FH2 (formin homology 2), and GBD/FH3 (Rho GTPase-binding/formin homology 3) domains. FRL1 is localized in the cytoplasm and is highly expressed in spleen, lymph node, and bone marrow cells. It may play a role in cell motility control, macrophage survival, and cytoskeletal organization.
