SYN1 (synapsin 1)은 신경세포 내 시냅스 소포의 세포질 표면에 결합하는 신경 인산화 단백질을 암호화하는 synapsin 유전자군의 구성원입니다. 이 단백질은 신경돌기 형성과 시냅스 형성 조절에 관여하며, 여러 단백질 키나아제의 기질로 작용합니다. 인산화는 신경 말단에서 SYN1의 기능 조절에 중요한 역할을 할 수 있습니다. 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 Rett 증후군과 같은 신경퇴행성 질환과 관련이 있을 수 있으며, 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
