DPP10 유전자는 dipeptidyl peptidases (DPPs)의 상동체를 암호화하며, 사이토카인 및 케모카인 말단의 디펩타이드를 절단하는 효소군에 속합니다. DPP10 단백질은 DPP4를 포함한 S9B family의 serine protease와 유사한 특징을 가지며, 선천면역계에서 케모카인 처리에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 DPP10 유전자는 복잡한 전사 스플라이싱 패턴을 보여, 천식과 관련된 LD 블록 내에서 여러 대체 엑손을 포함합니다.
