Target Information
TCF-9 (Transcription Factor 9), also known as C2orf3, GCF, or DNABF, is a 781-amino-acid nuclear protein belonging to the GCF family. It binds GC-rich sequences in promoters such as β-Actin, EGFR, and CANP. Two isoforms are produced by alternative splicing. GCF is a candidate gene for dyslexia susceptibility (DYX3) and is located on human chromosome 2, which encodes over 1,400 genes and comprises about 8% of the human genome.
