Target Information
Type I interferons (IFN-α and IFN-β) are structurally and functionally related proteins induced by viruses or double-stranded RNA. They confer antiviral states in cells through binding to the IFN-α/β receptor (IFNAR), which consists of two alternatively spliced transcripts: IFNAR1 and IFNAR2. These receptors are involved in ligand binding and signal transduction.
