Target Information
The GM-CSFR alpha (CD116) protein is the alpha subunit of the heterodimeric receptor for colony stimulating factor 2 (GM-CSF), a cytokine that regulates production, differentiation, and function of granulocytes and macrophages. This gene is located in the pseudoautosomal region of the X and Y chromosomes. Multiple transcript variants exist, including both membrane-bound and soluble isoforms.
