Target Information
Proposed scaffold protein implicated in diverse physiological processes, potentially linked to regulation of ubiquitination of specific cellular proteins.
- Modulates activity of cullin-RING E3 ubiquitin ligase (CRL) complexes by displacing CAND1.
- Promotes ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of NF-κB subunit RELA, leading to down-regulation of NF-κB activity.
- Regulates membrane expression and ubiquitination of SLC12A2 and amiloride-sensitive sodium channel (ENaC) subunits.
- Promotes localization of SCNN1D to recycling endosomes and CFTR surface expression through regulation of ubiquitination.
- Involved in copper ion homeostasis and ATP7A trafficking between the trans-Golgi network and peripheral vesicles.
- Binds one copper ion per monomer and may facilitate biliary copper excretion in hepatocytes.
- Binds phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PtdIns(4,5)P2).
- Regulates HIF1A-mediated transcription by competing with ARNT/Hif-1β, reducing DNA binding and transcriptional activation by HIF-1.
