Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships lyophilized at room temperature and should be stored at -20°C upon arrival.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Nectin-1 is an adhesion protein involved in the organization of adherens and tight junctions in epithelial and endothelial cells.
It is a calcium-independent cell-cell adhesion molecule belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, containing three extracellular Ig-like loops, a single transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic region.
Nectin-1 acts as a receptor for glycoprotein D of herpes simplex viruses 1 and 2, and pseudorabies virus, mediating viral entry into epithelial and neuronal cells.
Mutations in this gene cause cleft lip and palate/ectodermal dysplasia 1 syndrome and non-syndromic cleft lip with or without cleft palate.
Alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants encoding proteins with distinct C-termini.
