Target Information
GAD65 (glutamic acid decarboxylase-65)는 자가면역 질환(예: 제1형 당뇨병, stiff man syndrome, 다내분비 자가면역 질환)에 존재하는 주요 항원입니다.
새로 진단된 제1형 당뇨병 환자의 60–70%에서 GAD65에 대한 자가항체가 발견되며, 이는 질병 활성도의 중요한 마커로 사용됩니다.
이러한 자가항체는 주로 GAD65의 입체적 구조에 의존하는 영역을 인식하며, GAD67에는 거의 결합하지 않습니다.
GAD67에 대한 자가항체는 최근 발병한 제1형 당뇨병 환자의 약 15%에서만 발견되며, 대부분 GAD65에 의해 결합이 차단됩니다. 이는 두 아이소폼 간의 공통 에피토프 존재를 시사합니다.
