MA5-14050 targets CD10 in WB, IF, FACS, and IHC(P) applications and shows reactivity with Human and Rat samples.
This antibody is not recommended for LNCAP cells in Western blot applications.
The immunogen is the recombinant external domain of CD10 protein.
Target Information
CD10 (Common Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Antigen, CALLA) is a cell surface enzyme with neutral metalloendopeptidase activity that inactivates various biologically active peptides.
It is expressed on lymphoblastic, Burkitt’s, and follicular germinal center lymphoma cells, immature B cells in adult bone marrow, and cells from patients with chronic myelocytic leukemia (CML).
CD10 is also found on breast myoepithelial cells, bile canaliculi, fibroblasts, and highly expressed on kidney and gut epithelial brush borders.
It is a 100 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by a single gene (>45 kb) with alternatively spliced 5′ untranslated regions producing four mRNA transcripts.
Diseases associated with CD10 dysfunction include spinocerebellar ataxia 43 and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
