Target Information
The chaperonin containing TCP1 (CCT) complex, also known as the TCP1 ring complex, consists of two back-to-back rings, each containing eight unique but homologous subunits such as CCT4. CCT assists in the folding of newly translated polypeptides through ATP-driven cycles of release and rebinding of partially folded intermediates. Substrates include cytoskeletal proteins actin and tubulin, as well as alpha-transducin.
