Target Information
The protein encoded by VBP1 interacts with the Von Hippel-Lindau protein to form an intracellular complex. This protein functions as a chaperone and may assist in transporting the Von Hippel-Lindau protein from perinuclear granules to the nucleus or cytoplasm. Alternative splicing and use of alternate transcription start sites generate multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
