Product Specific Information

The 11-26c monoclonal antibody reacts with the delta heavy chain of mouse IgD. It does not react with other classes of mouse immunoglobulin including IgA, IgG or IgM. IgD is expressed by peripheral mature B cells, and 11-26c does not activate B cells.

Each product contains:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported:
Used in flow cytometric analysis to detect surface IgD on mouse B cells.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended ≤ 0.125 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell count: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best results.

NovaFluor Compatibility:
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI). Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer:
Updated formulation improves staining performance. Add 5 µL per sample to antibody cocktails. For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample.

NovaFluor Technology:
Based on Phiton™ technology utilizing nucleic acid dye structures for engineered fluorescent signatures minimizing spillover and spread.
Excitation: 494 nm; Emission: 585 nm; Laser: 488 nm (Blue).

Target Information

IgD is a type I transmembrane protein co-expressed with membrane IgM on mature naive B cells and also found in soluble form in serum. It associates with the B cell receptor and mediates signal transduction upon antigen binding.
