Target Information
SLC26A1 is a member of the sulfate/anion transporter family. Family members are well conserved in their protein structures among species but show markedly different tissue expression patterns. The SLC26A1 gene is primarily expressed in the liver, pancreas, and brain. Three splice variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
