Target Information
Deubiquitinase that mediates deubiquitination of target proteins such as BECN1, MITF, SKP2, and USP10. Involved in autophagy and endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD). Regulates p53/TP53 levels through interaction with PIK3C3/VPS34-containing complexes and USP10. Recruited by nuclear UFD1 to mediate SKP2 deubiquitination, influencing ERAD processes. Also stabilizes SIAH2 independently of deubiquitinase activity. Preferentially cleaves Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin chains and may cleave ISG15 in vitro. [UniProt]
