Solute carrier family 2, facilitated glucose transporter member 12 (GLUT12) is a protein encoded by the SLC2A12 gene in humans. It belongs to a family of glucose transporters that mediate sugar uptake through facilitated diffusion. These transporters share 12 conserved transmembrane helices and functionally important amino acid residues.
