Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

The IL1R2 gene encodes a cytokine receptor belonging to the interleukin-1 receptor family. It binds IL1A, IL1B, and IL1R1/IL1RA and acts as a decoy receptor that inhibits ligand activity. IL4 can antagonize IL1 activity by inducing IL1R2 expression and release. The IL1R2 gene is part of a cytokine receptor gene cluster on chromosome 2q12. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been reported.
