Description:
This 4NY8UN monoclonal antibody reacts with human CXCL10, also known as Interferon Inducible Protein-10 (IP-10). CXCL10 is a CXC chemokine secreted by monocytes, epithelial, and endothelial cells in response to IFN-γ or other pro-inflammatory stimuli. It binds to CXCR3 on activated T cells, directing their migration during Th1 immune responses. CXCL10 also inhibits angiogenesis and tumor growth and modulates adhesion molecule expression. Elevated CXCL10 levels are associated with allergic inflammation, infections, and Alzheimer’s disease.

Applications Reported:
For intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-diluted and tested by intracellular staining of stimulated normal human peripheral blood cells using the Intracellular Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Set (Product # 88-8824-00) and standard protocols.
Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (final volume 100 µL). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test (empirical determination required).

Target Information

IP-10 (CXCL10):
A highly inducible CXC chemokine first cloned in 1985. It stimulates monocyte, NK, and T-cell migration, regulates T-cell and progenitor maturation, modulates adhesion molecule expression, and inhibits angiogenesis. IP-10 and Mig share the receptor CXCR3.
