Target Information
TRAIL (also known as Apo-2L) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family that induces apoptosis in various transformed cell lines.
TRAIL-R4, a member of the TRAIL receptor family, activates NF-κB similar to TRAIL-R1 and TRAIL-R2 but does not induce apoptosis.
Like TRAIL-R1 and TRAIL-R2, TRAIL-R4 is widely expressed across tissues.
The human TRAIL-R4 gene is located on chromosome 8p22-21, clustered with three other TRAIL receptors.
