Human alanyl-tRNA synthetase (AARS)는 class II tRNA synthetase 계열에 속합니다. 이 효소들은 진화 초기부터 존재하며 높은 보존성을 보입니다. 인간 AARS의 968개 아미노산 중 498개는 E. coli 단백질과 41%의 서열 일치를 보입니다.
