Product Specific Information
- For IHC (PFA-fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
CD99 (E2, MIC2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein involved in regulating T cell adhesive properties and programmed cell death distinct from typical apoptosis. CD99 plays roles at specific stages of T cell differentiation, such as corticothymocytes. The CD99R isoform is expressed in the hematopoietic system, particularly in T, NK, and myeloid cells.
