Target Information
ERp44 mediates thiol-dependent retention in the early secretory pathway by forming mixed disulfides with substrate proteins through its conserved CRFS motif. It inhibits the calcium channel activity of ITPR1 and may play a role in oxidative protein folding control in the endoplasmic reticulum. It is required for the retention of ERO1L and ERO1LB in the ER.
