Target Information
HAPLN3 is a 360-amino-acid extracellular protein belonging to the HAPLN family. It contains one Ig-like V-type domain and two Link domains, and may function in hyaluronic acid binding and cell adhesion. This protein is secreted or located in the extracellular matrix, stabilizing aggregates of proteoglycan monomers with hyaluronic acid in cartilage. HAPLN3 is expressed in most tissues, with highest levels in spleen and placenta.
