Target Information
Huntingtin disease는 신경퇴행성 질환으로, huntingtin 단백질의 다형성 글루타민 반복 확장에 의해 발생합니다. Huntingtin Interacting Protein 1 (HIP-1)은 apoptosis를 유도하는 cargo-specific adaptor protein으로, Huntingtin 질환의 병태생리에 관련되어 있을 수 있습니다. 또한, HIP-1은 clathrin coat를 지질막에 모집하는 역할을 하며, 전암 및 암세포의 생존을 가능하게 하여 종양형성에도 관여할 수 있습니다. HIP-1 발현은 전립선 및 결장암 전이와 유의하게 관련되어 있어, 이들 암의 예후 인자로 활용될 수 있습니다.
