Product Specific Information
- For Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed):
Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the globin superfamily and is expressed in skeletal and cardiac muscles.
The encoded protein is a hemoprotein contributing to intracellular oxygen storage and transcellular facilitated diffusion of oxygen.
At least three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been reported.
