Target Information
Themis is a cytoplasmic protein essential for positive selection and development of single-positive thymocytes. It is highly expressed in CD4⁺CD8⁺ double-positive thymocytes and at lower levels in mature T cells. Themis associates with PLCγ1 and LAT and is rapidly phosphorylated by SLP-76 following TCR signaling. Five isoforms of mouse Themis are produced through alternative splicing.
