DYRK1B는 DYRK 단백질 키나아제 계열의 구성원으로, 핵 기능에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. Integrin은 α 및 β 소단위로 구성된 이형이량체로, 세포-기질 또는 세포-세포 부착을 매개하며 유전자 발현과 세포 성장을 조절하는 신호를 전달합니다.
DYRK1B 유전자는 laminin 수용체로 작용하는 integrin β4 소단위를 암호화하며, 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 pyloric atresia를 동반한 epidermolysis bullosa와 관련이 있습니다. 여러 개의 대체 스플라이싱 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있으며, 각각은 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화합니다.
