Reproductive homeobox on X chromosome 11 (Rhox11), also known as Reproductive homeobox 11, is a nuclear protein product of a novel X-linked homeobox gene family. It plays an important role during postnatal testis development and in governing regenerative cell differentiation. Members of this family possess a conserved 60-amino-acid DNA-binding homeodomain. These transcription factors are involved in various developmental processes such as DNA-dependent transcriptional regulation, body-plan specification, pattern formation, and cell fate determination, contributing to the understanding of reproductive system development and physiology.
