ETV4 (E1A enhancer binding protein, E1AF)
ETV4는 PEA3로도 알려진 Ets 유전자 패밀리의 일원으로, DNA 결합 단백질을 인코딩합니다. 이들 단백질은 중앙에 위치한 5'-GGAA-3' 모티프를 포함하는 유사한 DNA 서열을 인식합니다. 예를 들어, PEA3는 5'-AGGAAG-3' 서열에 결합하지만, PU.1이 인식하는 5'-AGGAAC-3'에는 결합하지 않습니다. 각 Ets 단백질은 동일한 핵심 서열을 인식하면서도 주변 염기서열에 따라 특이적인 결합 특성을 보입니다. PEA3는 상피 및 섬유아세포 기원의 세포에서 발현되며, 조혈세포에서는 발현되지 않습니다. 이는 주로 조혈세포에서 발현되는 다른 Ets 패밀리 구성원(Ets-1, Ets-2, Fli-1)과 대조적입니다.
