Target Information
E-Cadherin (epithelial cadherin)은 칼슘 의존성 세포-세포 접착을 매개하는 고전적 카드헤린 단백질로, cadherin superfamily에 속합니다. 이 단백질은 5개의 extracellular cadherin 반복, 막관통 영역, 그리고 고도로 보존된 세포질 꼬리로 구성된 당단백질입니다.
CDH1 유전자는 인간 염색체 16번에 위치하며, 변이는 위암, 유방암, 대장암, 갑상선암, 난소암 등과 관련이 있습니다. E-cadherin의 발현 감소 또는 소실은 암의 침윤성과 전이 가능성과 양의 상관관계를 보입니다.
E-cadherin은 세포 성장과 발달, 조직 구조 유지, 조직 무결성에 중요한 역할을 하며, 세포 간 접착 및 신호 전달 조절에 관여합니다.
