Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

Target Information

TXNRD1 encodes a pyridine nucleotide oxidoreductase that reduces thioredoxins and other substrates, playing key roles in selenium metabolism and oxidative stress protection.
The active enzyme is a homodimer utilizing FAD as a cofactor, each subunit containing a selenocysteine (Sec) residue essential for catalytic activity.
Sec is encoded by the UGA codon, normally a stop signal, but recognized as Sec due to the SECIS element in the 3′ UTR.
Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants encoding similar or distinct isoforms.
