Target Information
Chemokines are small (approximately 8–14 kD), mostly basic, structurally related molecules that regulate leukocyte trafficking via interactions with 7-transmembrane, G protein-coupled receptors. They play essential roles in immune system development, homeostasis, and function, and influence CNS and endothelial cells involved in angiogenesis. Chemokines are divided into CXC and CC subfamilies based on cysteine residue arrangement. CCR10 is the receptor for CCL27, and CCR10–CCL27 interactions are associated with T cell-mediated skin inflammation.
