Target Information
HBXIP, also known as XIP, belongs to the HBXIP family. It was originally identified by its interaction with the C-terminus of hepatitis B virus (HBV) X protein (HBx). HBXIP regulates centrosome dynamics and cytokinesis, up-regulates S100A4 through STAT4 activation, and induces DNA methylation of PTEN. HBXIP is a cellular 18 kDa protein localized in the cytoplasm.
