Target Information
UBAC1 belongs to the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). These RNA-binding proteins form complexes with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA) and are involved in pre-mRNA processing, mRNA metabolism, and transport. While all hnRNPs are present in the nucleus, some shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm. UBAC1 contains two RRM domains that bind RNA.
