Target Information

Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies commonly used in research and diagnostics. These antibodies, produced by rats in response to antigens, can be purified from serum or hybridoma culture supernatants.
Rat IgG1 is frequently used as a negative control since it shows minimal binding to mammalian antigens. Applications include immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting for antigen detection.
It also serves in gene targeting studies to manipulate the rat genome and generate disease models for biomedical research.
